Andrea Jeremiah
Andrea Maria Jeremiah is an Indian actress, playback performer and a musician who works most often in Tamil and Malayalam film languages. Her first appearance as an actor was in the Tamil film Pachaikili Muthucharam and Malayalam debut with Annayum raolum. Andrea Jeremiah was born in an Anglo-Indian family living in the Arakkonam region of and Tamil Nadu.Andrea's dad is an attorney working at the Madras High Court. She is the cousin of an assistant researcher from Leuven, Belgium. Jeremiah was born in Chennai and attended National Public School and graduated from Women's Christian College. Andrea was able to begin studying piano at the age of eight. She was an avid geek and dreamed of becoming a psychiatrist. In her twenties, she became a part of a group called the Jackson Five Young Stars which formed the beginning of her early musical and singing career. She also was a theatre performer in the college she attended as well as appearing in various productions staged by The Madras Players and EVAM. She served as the president of the Student Senate at Women's Christian College. Andrea started her career acting in the theatre, through Girish Karanad's Nagamandala. Andrea was in the 2006 Leo Coffee commercial alongside Shiva. She also appeared in a show that was shown on Podhigai. The actress has performed all over India. She was in a small role in the final scene in Kanda Naal Mudhal (2005). Gautham Menon enlisted Andrea play the lead role after she sang in Vettaiyaadu's Vettaiyaadu. Andrea is Kalyani who is wife and mother whose man has a romantic relationship. Andrea was chosen to play Kalyani after Simran Shobana Tabu as well as other actors were asked to audition for the role. The movie was announced in the early part of 2010. It was first released as part of Venkat's Mankatha in 2011, which was a film that featured several actors. Annayum Rasoolum, a romantic film produced by Rajeeev R. released in 2013, marked the actress's Malayalam debut.
