LeAnn Kymes and Alison Kruss were the two newest Grammy Award winners. Alison Maria Krauss, born July 23, 1971 is an American musician and singer. Her career in music began at an early age winning local contests by the age of 10 before recording her first album when she was 14 years old. She signed with Rounder Records in 1985 and released her first single album, a solo one in the year 1987. The group she joined was whom she performs, Alison Krauss Union Station. The group released their debut album in the year 1989.
